Our commitment to accessibility
Urbanis aims to make this website usable and welcoming for as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort and continue to improve the site over time. This statement describes the accessibility features currently available and is provided for transparency. It does not replace, and should not be read as, a formal accessibility audit or certification.
Accessibility features currently available
The website currently includes: a "skip to main content" link; visible keyboard focus styling; semantic HTML structure and ARIA labelling on interactive elements and dialogs; descriptive text for meaningful images and empty alternative text for decorative images; a built-in accessibility preferences panel (described below); and a theme selector (System, Light, Dark).
Keyboard navigation
The main interactive elements, menus, forms, and dialog windows can be operated with a keyboard. Open dialogs keep keyboard focus within the dialog, can be closed with the Escape key, and return focus to the control that opened them.
Screen reader and semantic structure support
The site uses headings, landmarks, labels, and ARIA attributes intended to support screen reader navigation. Dialogs communicate their open and closed state to assistive technology. We continue to test and refine this support.
Visual preferences
An accessibility preferences panel, available from the footer, lets you adjust the experience on your device:
- Text size (Default, Large, Larger)
- High contrast
- Readable font
- Highlight links
These choices are saved in your browser so they apply on your next visit, and can be cleared with "Reset preferences".
Motion preferences
The accessibility panel includes a "Reduce motion" option. The site also respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting where your browser provides it, limiting non-essential animation and smooth-scrolling effects.
Known limitations
Some third-party components (for example, the reCAPTCHA security tool) are outside our direct control and may not fully match the accessibility of the rest of the site. Some content is still being refined. We welcome reports of any barrier you encounter so we can address it.
Audio and video content
The website currently has no essential audio or video content, so captions or transcripts are not required at this time. If audio or video is added in the future, we intend to provide appropriate captions and/or transcripts.
Accessibility feedback and contact
If you experience any difficulty using this website, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us and we will do our best to help. When contacting us about an accessibility issue, please describe the page, the barrier you encountered, the device or browser used if relevant, and the format or support you need, so we can assist you more effectively.
Statement date
This statement was last reviewed in September 2026. We will update it as the website and its accessibility features evolve. Urbanis aims to improve accessibility and usability for all users; this statement does not constitute a formal accessibility audit.
